Michelle will fight to uphold the right of individuals to keep and bear arms, a natural inalienable right that predates the Constitution and is secured by the Second Amendment. Lawful gun ownership enables Americans to exercise their God-given right of self-defense for the safety of their homes, their loved ones, and their communities. Further, your right to bear arms is not based on a "need" it is our RIGHT. Our right is not based on size, magazine capacity nor any other trait. Our right is simply that… our right. We should not have to defend why we purchase, carry or use the types of firearms that we do. The second amendment does not restrict our choices. We must stay vigilant in this and keep our voices heard.

Our state and local officials are defying the Court's decisions upholding an individual right to bear arms as affirmed by the Supreme Court in Heller and McDonald. Michelle supports constitutional carry statutes and salute the states that have passed them. Michelle opposes laws that would restrict magazine capacity or ban the sale of the most popular and common modern rifle. Michelle also firmly disagrees with "red flag laws" and is a supporter of Constitutional Carry either openly or concealed.
